This body of methods is communicated through glyphs.

Following a successful career, Jurgen’s passion is to impart his learning’s and expertise onto the next generation of hoteliers.

With 44 years of experience in hotel development and operations, Jurgen has the knowledge and the resources to develop the right product or concept for your market.

The gaps between the worlds of business and charity are closing. Corporate social responsibility is imperative, as most consumers consider how businesses deal with environmental and social issues.

There are often changes brought about by mergers and acquisitions as well as general organisational development. Therefore, a need arises to provide key employees with support through a change of role or career. These events are often catalysts, which inspire companies and individuals to seek coaching or mentoring.

Coaching and mentoring can be closely linked with organisational change initiatives as a professional or personal development tool to help staff adapt to changes in a manner consistent with their personal values and goals. It can enhance morale, motivation and productivity while reducing staff turnover as individuals feel valued and connected with both small and large organisational changes.

Jurgen’s international reach and expertise give him a competitive advantage internationally to be able to manage whatever your request. With over 44 years of experience in the creation and management of iconic properties and leisure destinations, Jurgen brings a rich portfolio of international knowledge. As a hospitality consultant, Jurgen’s focus is on developing organisational practices, processes and structure. Our focus is to help our clients establish strength in the market place and gain an edge. With more than 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, we have an extensive background in food operations and management development and are very familiar with what keeps managers & owners up at night.

Management Contract & Franchise Negotiations

As an impartial negotiator who will operate on your behalf, Jurgen will help you to improve your contract terms. Depending on your circumstances, there may be other significant opportunities that you may not be aware of. Franchisees are told by the brand that the franchise agreements are not negotiable, but there is plenty of wiggle room to pull out important concessions if you know your target.

Pre-opening, Development & Operations

The scope and style of the opening activities are tailored to the hotel or resort itself, the community and the targeted demand generators/markets. From setting up operating policies and procedures, choosing contractors, recruiting and training, planning and executing pre-opening and ongoing marketing, ordering supplies, setting up accounting, developing pre-opening marketing to staffing and operating budgets.

Turnaround & Change Management

Successfully restructuring businesses and improving performance at both the top and bottom line is one of Jurgen’s strength. Using Jurgen’s proprietary methodology (change, connect, transform, learn, create, understand, reflect and transition), proper management of a successful turnaround or transition during a period of change is paramount. Through first stabilising the situation, addressing management issues, assessing the situation, and implementing emergency actions, the restructuring process will begin and grow until a sense of normalcy is reached.

Concepts & Project Development

From initial ideation to final roll-out and development of the concept. Working together with our clients, Jurgen develops a customised strategy for the successful planning and realisation of projects, no matter the venture or dream.

Operator Search & Selection

Jurgen enjoys close relationships with many major global hotel management companies. As a result, he has been responsible for attracting many new brands into different regions. By the time you reach this stage in your asset lifecycle, we will need to ensure your operating partner will be the ‘right fit’. Jurgen’s keen understanding of branding, management structure and the small print of commercial terms allows us to deliver the ideal operator on the best possible management financial terms every time.

Interim Management

In times of change, temporary provision of resource and skill management is necessary. Interim management is the short-term assignment of a proven heavyweight interim executive manager to manage a period of transition, crisis or change within an organisation. Sometimes it is daunting to select an interim executive, however, Jurgen’s experience lends simplicity to this activity.

Asset Management

With increasing competition amongst new hotels and brands in the region, there is an escalating necessity for proactive asset management. Jurgen’s role as an asset manager is essential to provide a comprehensive liaison between a client and their management team. The aim of this role is, quite simply, to protect the client’s interests and enhance the overall value and return on investment of a given asset.

Hotel Transactions

The acquisition and disposal of a hospitality property or asset is more than a one-dimensional transaction in real-estate. Hotels are dynamic, often with varied and complex operations and this is why due diligence is a very important part of the process. Jurgen’s will help you see through the “window dressing”, giving you the option of walking away at an early stage and saving money, or of negotiating and structuring a deal that will make the transaction more likely to succeed.

Today's consumers hold companies to a higher standard. They're looking for more than just material products or quality services. Consumers expect corporations to operate responsibly and address social and environmental issues. Recognising how important social responsibility is to your customers, Jurgen can advise which broad categories of corporate social responsibility (CSR) your company should focus on. The gaps between the worlds of business and charity are closing, and running a successful business in addition to creating social impact is challenging. It is a departure from the traditional operating model but can be a significantly beneficial venture.
